Milton H. Juers, 85 of Temperance, MI, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016. Born December 9, 1930, in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Henry and Metta (Steffens) Juers. He was a US Navy veteran, serving as a deep sea diver during the Korean War. Milton married Mary A. Schnieder on July 5, 1958. He was employed as a brick layer working out of the Bricklayers Allied Craftsman Union. He retired in 1995 and was a member of the Union for over 60 years. Milton was a member of the Harbor Light Lodge, 746, F&AM, Scottish Rite, Valley of Toledo, R.V.Y.C., O.U.C. #55, Honorary member of O.R.Y.C., Fraternal Order of Eagles, Indian Motorcycle Club and the American Legion, Post 192 in Temperance. Milton was also a private pilot.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; daughter, Melanie (Nicholas) Leland; grandson, Nathaniel Leland; Brother, Richard (Sandy) Juers; twin sister, Jean Clark; sisters, Katherine Juers and Joanne (Richard) Turner and a large extended loving family.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Thursday, July 28, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where the R.V.Y.C., will hold services Thursday at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 29, 2016, at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
